More than 2.5 million German vehicles have been recalled in the U.S. for defective Takata airbags this week, following expansions by Honda, Ford, and Mazda, as well as last month's reporting of the 10th fatality. The total includes Mercedes' recall of 841,000 vehicles and vans from the 2005-2014 mannequin times that we reported separately.Among the 1.7 million added German vehicles ,< strong> Audi ' s segment figures 170,000. It has hitherto cancelled only 588 Q5 modelings from 2015 for flawed line-up airbags. The swelling includes:

In addition to 146 Tiguan simulations from 2015 recalled for flawed line-up airbags, Volkswagen is withdrawing 680,000 vehicles: 

* 2009-2014 CC

* 2010-2014 Jetta SportWagen

* 2010-2014 Golf

* 2012-2014 Eos

* 2012-2014 Passat( U.S. creation) 

* 2006-2010 Passat sedan and wagon( Germany production)

Finally, BMW is reiterating 840,000 vehicles from 2006 through 2015 that weren't part of the company's previous recall for Takata airbags, which covered 765,000 vehicles. The recent sits include: 

* 2006-2011 3-series sedan and M3

* 2006-2012 3-series wagon

* 2007-2013 3-series and M3 coupe and convertible

* 2007-2010 X3

* 2007-2013 X5 and X5 M

* 2008-2013 1-series coupe and convertible

* 2008-2014 X6 and X6 M

* 2013-2015 X1

Most, if not all, of the above vehicles are under recall only for the driver's-side frontal airbag. Repair plans are unavailable at this time. A unplugged recall involving up to five million gondolas with imperfect Continental airbags is also underway.
